Bean sprouts are very common in Asian cuisine. Fortunately, it is not hard to get in average grocery store. Their delightful crunch and mild flavor make for an enjoyable experience in this simple side dish, a great combination of bacon--as a high-fat ingredient and mung bean sprout--as a healthy food, being free of cholesterol.
This was created to join the Round-Up Event of Original Recipes hosted by Culinarty by Lore.
Ingredients:6 strips bacon
3.5 oz mung bean sprouts, wash thoroughly, drain well
salt and pepper
fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Method:
1) In a frying pan, lay the bacon strips side by side. Turn the stove to medium heat, cook bacon until they are haft-cooked, brown but not crispy. Remove bacon from the pan.
2) Place sprouts on the bacon strip, sprinkle with a little bit of salt and pepper on the sprouts. Roll and wrap with each bacon strip. Secure with toothpicks.
3) Put them back to the hot frying pan. Turn and cook until the bacon is crispy and the bean sprouts are cooked through.
Remove toothpicks before serving. Garnish with your favorite fresh herbs.

What I love about your concoctions is your attention to the visual effect they create and you've done your magic again with these bacon wrapped sprouts :D
Thanks for sharing them with the Original Recipes Round-Up!
This. sounds. so. good. Healthy and sinful in a single bite :)
Great original recipe!
Your photo is lovely too.
Found you on Lores roundup... Love this idea I love crunchy beansprouts... and what better than healthy crunchy greens to be wrapped in bacon! (like asparagus in bacon... with an Asian twist!)
Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me such nice and encouraging words!
These sound good. I would enjoy the crunch of the bean sprouts in them.
